Job duties of a Chemical Technician include testing samples of water, air, floor coverings, and concrete that is intended for use in construction projects to determine if they meet certain safety requirements; studying the results of chemical compilations to determine what chemicals should be used to provide the best product for the customer; identifying and testing floor coverings or concrete samples to determine their thickness and density; and inspecting floor coverings or concrete for defects such as cracks, voids or segregation.
