The Marine Surveyor assists with the planning, implementation, and operation of various cable systems between shore stations and platforms in places like the Gulf of Mexico, Pacific, Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Indian Oceans. This person designs the transportation system from the platform to the shore station, defines technical transmission requirements for cable construction and installation based on customer requirements. They may also perform Ground Fault Current (GFC) measurements on cable systems at the platform installation site and reviews GFC test results with project personnel to assist in designing an optimal cable
