The Memphis Medical Center is seeking a Medical Scribe to support the daily operations of our hospital. The successful candidate will play an important role in the accurate and timely collection and sharing of patient information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately document patient interactions, including history and physical exams, laboratory results, and treatment and diagnostic plans
- Accompany physicians during patient visits and document patient information in real-time
- Obtain records from other healthcare providers, review them for accuracy and completeness, and follow up with healthcare providers for missing information
- Assist in dictation, coding, and follow-up of patient visits
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing records, answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
- Develop and maintain an organized and up-to-date patient chart
- Respond to requests for information in a timely and professional manner
Work Hours and Benefits:

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant or LPN is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong clerical and organizational skills

- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
